At a regularly scheduled board meeting last week, the Conejo Valley Unified School District announced a new assistant superintendent of human resources.

Jeanne Valentine will take on her latest role with the district, having been in Conejo Valley Unified for 26 years.

"We are extremely proud to welcome Ms. Valentine to her new role with the District," said Mark McLaughlin, superintendent of the district. "Ms. Valentine's institutional knowledge of CVUSD, combined with her unique skill sets, and an innate ability to build relationships with those in the CVUSD community are just a few of the qualifications that make her a great fit for this leadership position.

Valentine previously served as the district's director of elementary education.

Prior to her role at the district office, Valentine served as the principal of Weathersfield School, the principal of Cypress School, an administrative intern at Lang Ranch School, a teacher at Lang Ranch School, and a teacher at Banyan School.

Valentine has a Masters of Arts Degree in educational administration from CSU Northridge and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in psychology from San Diego State University. She also completed the Association of California School Administrators Personnel/HR Academy in 2017.

This formal appointment comes after Robert Iezza, current deputy superintendent of human resources, announced his retirement this June, after 30 years of service to the district.

Also at the meeting, the district announced Sonia Wilson will serve as the new director of elementary education and Nicole Judd, a current assistant principal at Westlake High School, will be Redwood Middle School's next principal.
