Thousand Oaks candidates take on voters' queries

The League of Women Voters are hosting a candidates forum for the Thousand Oaks special election Thursday evening. The four candidates -- Chaise Rasheed, Ed Jones, Rob McCoy and Dan Roundtree -- will take questions from the audience about issues pertinent to the city. The four men are hoping to occupy the seat left open when Jacqui Irwin left the council for the state Assembly. The election is June 2 with absentee ballots available starting May 4.

McCoy: if Measure E is amended, it has to go before the voters. Also, greater transparency in city hall.

"What city does that?" Rasheed said.
